One Frame Story Telling Workshop: A single art piece has the power to narrate an entire story. Illustration or design is a visual communication medium which helps to narrate such stories. To teach the Members more about illustrations, Rooftop curated One Frame Story Telling Workshop and invited Tushar Madaan. He is currently working as an art director and he likes working on illustration concept art and many art related things like watercolor, paint sculpture, storyboard etc. He has worked for various big brands like Deccan Gladiator, Unicef, Bmw, IRCTC etc.
The One Frame Story Telling Workshop Began
Tushar started the workshop on an interactive session by introducing himself and knowing a little bit about the attendees as well. Next, he explained the concept of one frame story telling. He interacted with all the 19 attendees and wanted to know what they understood by the term “idea”. Every attendee came up with a different perspective. Tushar then took an example of a postman and how email has replaced it. With this concept, he made a sketch on Photoshop software and the attendees sketched the same on their A4 sheets.
The curious attendees asked several questions how an idea can be given a structure. Tushar suggested some applications and websites to them.
Towards The End Of The Workshop
At the end of the workshop, the attendees came up with some different ideas which they tried to give a structure in the form of sketches. He also showed a few impressive art illustrations of some famous illustrators. It was a knowledgeable and fun experience overall.
The attendees were from different parts of the country and belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rooftop as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
