Kota Bundi Miniature
Mohammed Luqman, a 5th-generation miniature artist from Jaipur, Rajasthan, carries a proud legacy linked to the revered Humayun lineage. Though he once felt indifferent toward art, his passion was sparked by the guidance of guru Manchand Saraf and nurtured by his father, a master and mentor. With over 40 years of experience, his work has been showcased in cities like Delhi, Hyderabad, Udaipur, and Jodhpur, earning honors such as the Udyog Kendra accolade and the State Award in 2008 from Ashok Gehlot, along with recognition from the Minister of Railways, Piyush Goyal, for his art at railway stations. Today, Luqman shares his skills through workshops at institutions, including Kanpur University, Jaipur, and Udaipur, mentoring a small group of students while dedicatedly preserving the timeless Kota Bundi tradition seen in elegant palace and temple depictions.
