Description
This an acrylic on canvas painting by artist Bharat Tripathi that is a symbolic and figurative representation of the march of Lord Ram towards Lanka that led to the eventual death of Ravan. One can see the Ram Setu leading upto Lanka and Ravan with a depiction of the Shivling in the foreground that symbolises divine order and orchestration that finally leads to the triumph of good over evil. This is an episode from the Lanka Kand or the sixth chapter of the Ramayana.
This painting is a part of the Ramayana Series by the artist and was displayed in an exhibition at the Lalit Kala Akademi in New Delhi in November 2015.
