What commission does Rooftop charge?
Rooftop charges a 20% service fee on each confirmed booking and order. This fee covers Razorpay payment processing, customer support for your buyers and guests, platform maintenance, and all marketing and promotional activity, including featuring you in email campaigns, on social media, and in on-platform discovery. You keep 80% of everything you earn.
When and how do I receive my earnings?
Payments are automatically transferred to your registered Indian bank account within 3 to 5 business days after each experience concludes or each order is delivered. You can track all earnings, upcoming payouts, and transaction history in real time from your provider dashboard.
Can I list multiple types of offerings?
Yes. You can create and manage unlimited listings across as many categories as you offer, including original artworks, handmade products, painting workshops, craft sessions, online courses, and walks. Many of our most successful providers sell their work and host experiences at the same time.
Who handles shipping when my artwork sells?
We do. When an order comes in, Rooftop coordinates doorstep pickup from you, provides packaging guidance for fragile works, and manages tracked delivery to the buyer. Your payout is released once the order is delivered, and you never have to arrange a courier yourself.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?
You can cancel or reschedule any experience directly from your dashboard. Guests are automatically notified with the updated details or refund information. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both providers and guests.
Do you help with marketing and promotion?
Yes, actively. Your listings are featured across the Rooftop platform, in our weekly email newsletters, and on our social media channels. We also run seasonal campaigns, curate featured sections, and include top-rated providers in editorial content. The better your rating and listing quality, the more visibility you receive.
Is there a minimum number of sessions I need to host?
No. There is no minimum. You can start with a single experience and host once a month, or go full-time. The platform is designed to scale with you, at whatever pace works for your life and practice.
Do I need to be a professional artist or have formal qualifications?
Not at all. What matters is genuine expertise and the ability to create something meaningful for your buyers and guests. Many of our most beloved providers are self-taught, community-based, or family tradition carriers who have never held a formal qualification but have decades of lived practice. If you have real knowledge and a real passion for sharing it, you belong here.
Can I offer private or corporate group workshops through Rooftop?
Yes. Rooftop supports private bookings and corporate workshop enquiries. Many of our providers run team-building experiences for companies, custom sessions for travel groups, and private workshops for families or celebrations. If you would like to offer this, mention it in your application and we will set up your listing accordingly.
What kind of ongoing support do providers receive?
Every provider gets access to dedicated support via email and phone. We also provide a Provider Resource Hub with hosting guides, photography tips, pricing recommendations, and best practice articles. New providers receive a personal onboarding call, and we run monthly webinars for the broader provider community.
