Description
This an acrylic on canvas painting by artist Bharat Tripathi that depicts the episode from the Ramayana where Lord Rama kills the ignoble monkey king Bali and reinstates his brother Sugriva on the throne of Kishkindha. In the foreground, one can see the two monkey brothers jostling in combat with the sihouette of Lord Rama in the background. This is an episode from the Kishkindha Kand or the fourth chapter of the Ramayana.
This painting is a part of the Ramayana Series by the artist and was displayed in an exhibition at the Lalit Kala Akademi in New Delhi in November 2015.
