Painting: Vayuputra

This is an acrylic on canvas painting that portrays Hanuman in a triumphant posture with a flag in one hand and a string of Rudraksha beads, also known as 'Tears of Shiva.' The flag unfurled in the wind is also a reminder of one of the names of Hanuman, Vayuputra. The bright red of the deity is juxtaposed against the blue of the background and the picture exudes an air of complete harmony both within the deity and the composition.

This painting is a part of the Anjaneya Series by the artist and was displayed in an exhibition titled "Anjaneya" held at Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai in September 2025.
