True Friendship
Description
In this painting, Jaggu Prasas has created a pair of horses in close proximity enjoying each other's quiet company. The tan coloured horse in the foreground behind whom we see the larger black horse. Both the horses have been depicted wearing a bridle. The artist's prowess is displayed not only in the treatment of the luminescent muscular bodies of the horses carefully contoured through subtle transitions of colour but also through the expressions borne by the horses themselves which breathe life into the work. The horses are the sole depiction and occupy most of the compositional space.
This 20 x 15 inch artwork, painted by hand with watercolour on paper, is ideal for collectors interested in equine subjects, minimalist colour palettes and detailed miniature technique. The piece carries a dignified grace embodied by the horses as conveyed by the artist through his minute observation and controlled and meticulous technique. This piece has both a historic and contemporary charm and will be a great addition to both traditional and modern interiors. This work is signed by the artist.
