Painting: Sanjeevani

This is an acrylic on canvas painting that depicts Hanuman mid-flight, carrying the Dronagiri mountain with the herb Sanjeevani in a bid to save the wounded Lakshman. Painted in the figurative style, the traditional imagery of the air-borne Hanuman, with the mountain in one hand and a mace in the other is set amongst an enthralling and majestic depiction of the Himalayan mountains.

This painting is a part of the Anjaneya Series by the artist and was displayed in an exhibition titled "Anjaneya" held at Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai in September 2025.
