Painting: Kesari Nandan

This is an acrylic on canvas painting that depicts Hanuman in a dynamic kneeling posture holding a golden mace in his hand and flanked on both sides with foliage in dark green that adds contrast to the lighter blue setting. The bright vermilion of his muscular form reinforce his status as a divine being. Painted in the figurative style, the ethos of a divine guardian and an ardent devotee is evoked through the imagery.

This painting is a part of the Anjaneya Series by the artist and was displayed in an exhibition titled "Anjaneya" held at Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai in September 2025.
