Painting: Bal Hanuman

This is an acrylic on canvas painting that depicts Hanuman as a child in a dynamic, air-borne pose in a bid to seek out the sun and eat it after mistaking it for a ripe orange fruit. His red-toned body symbolizes energy and courage and the flowing yellow scarf adds movement to the composition, reinforcing the sense of flight. The blue skies in the background enhance the impression of celestial movement.

This painting is a part of the Anjaneya Series by the artist and was displayed in an exhibition titled "Anjaneya" held at Jehangir Art Gallery in Mumbai in September 2025.
