About this experience
An immersive walk around the charming Old Latin Quarter in Panjim. Soak in the rich heritage of a neighborhood described by historian William Dalrymple as a ‘small chunk of Portugal washed up on the shores of the Indian Ocean’, and interact with locals who strive to keep centuries of culture alive to this day.
What you'll do
Meeting the storyteller and introduction
Guests meet the storyteller at the entrance of the Panjim Post Office. The walk begins with an introduction to Goa, Panjim, and the Old Latin Quarters
Stop Outside a Chapel
Listen to stories of the neighbbourhood
Walk around the Old Latin Quarters
Walk through the Old Latin Quarters, where the storyteller will highlight the Indo-Portuguese architecture and motifs.
Tasting of Goan Sweets
Visit one of the oldest bakery in Panjim (subject to bakery operational hours) and taste local Goan sweets
Meet a local Goan musician
Listen to music by a local Goan musician and a stop for a non-alcoholic drink
