Pawan Naqash

Pawan Naqash Ji has been practising the art for the last 26 years. He and his brothers learnt the art from their father and have been the front-runners in making the art a household name. In 2015 he migrated to Hyderabad and has been living there ever since. Pawanji has worked with the government of Telangana regularly to promote the art. The Dhanalokota family was part of the station beautification scheme held amongst all stations by Indian Railways. It took them three months to paint the wall of the Secunderabad Railway Station with their Cheriyal mural depicting Bathukamma, ‘Gangireddulu’ (decorated oxen) earned it the third-best railway station in the country.
