Dildar Qureshi

My name is Dildar Qureshi, a miniature artist from Kota, Rajasthan, dedicated to preserving and reinterpreting the traditional Indian miniature style. My work reflects a deep respect for heritage, craftsmanship, and the chemistry of natural pigments. I study and recreate traditional colors, such as the famous Indian yellow made from turmeric and other organic sources, combining historical methods with my own experimentation to bring lost techniques back to life.Each painting I create is both a study and a celebration of our cultural identity—meticulously detailed with natural brushes, mineral and organic colors, and gold leaf. Through my art, I aim to connect the precision of traditional miniature painting with a modern sensitivity that expresses harmony, spirituality, and a sense of timeless beauty.By reviving natural pigments and classical styles, I hope to share Rajasthan’s artistic legacy with the world while keeping the roots of Indian art alive for new generations.
