Asharam Meghwal

Asharam Meghwal hails from Jaipur, Rajasthan. He has been awarded the National Award and the Shilp Guru Award, along with several other accolades. He began painting at the age of 15 and has over 50 years of experience. At first, his craft was strictly commercial, but soon he began delving into new concepts and techniques.

Asharam Ji has worked with every school of Rajasthani Miniature painting, and his work is appreciated on both a national and international level. While he cherishes the techniques and methods associated with traditional art, he stresses the importance of painting something new instead of copying and sticking to old compositions and motifs. He hopes that in the future, Indian artists will be able to elevate Miniature art to the standard it deserves.
