Zentangle Art Workshop With Purnima Lokwani

Zentangle Art Workshop

Zentangle Art Workshop: Zentangle Art is an easy-to-learn, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns.  With combinations of dots, lines, simple curves, S-curves as well as orbs, zentangle art is a relaxing form of art. Rajasthan Studio curated a Zentangle Art Workshop along with Purnima Lokwani who is an artist by passion. She loves experimenting with different artforms like mandalas, zentangles and doodles.

The Zentangle Art Workshop Started

Purnima started the workshop by explaining what zentangle art is all about. Then she used simple geometrical shapes and lines to fill her artwork which are actually the “Elemental Strokes” of Zentangle art. Taking inspiration from Rajasthan Studio’s logo, Purnima created a similar outline and filled it with different zentangle patterns. The participants bombarded her with several questions regarding the difference between mandala and zentangle and what zentangle is all about. Purnima patiently responded to all the queries and suggested to them,

There are no such rules or specific patterns in this form of art. We can all get creative and create new patterns!

The workshop was joined by over 70 attendees from different parts of the world including UAE, Muscat and Germany. The enthusiastic participants tried their hands at Zentangle art for the very first time and worked along with Purnima. The foreign participants not only got to learn a new form of art, but also learnt a little bit about the Rajasthani culture of greeting – ‘Khamma Ghani’, while making the motif of the day.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

At the end of the workshop, all the participants created their own beautiful versions of zentangle art and also added their own touch of creativity to it. Rajasthan Studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off!
