Every art form has its own ways to connect itself to the artists. Zen Art is an art form of the great Buddhists Monks as a means to meditate. This art form is a work of intricacies and requisites focus. Thereupon, to enlighten our Circle Members about this excruciating yet meditative artwork, Rajasthan Studio curated a workshop and invited Sarang Hundiwala.
Sarang is based in Aurangabad. At the onset of his teen years, he discovered art as a meditative exercise, and from that point forward continue his passion for different art forms.
Zen art Workshop Began
Sarang began the workshop with a warm welcome to his attendees and decided to give a small introduction about what Zen Art really is. He started with the history of this art form. Zen as per Buddhist philosophy means āto meditateā and therefore, Buddhist monks created this artwork of patterns in order to connect with their internal selves. Sarang even mentioned how this philosophy intrigued him towards this art form.
He decided to give this art form a little tweak of his own, by going for a deity subject rather than some patterns.
Towards the end of the Workshop
Zen Art is all about delicate and complex work so as to instill focus within the artist. The original art form is black and white artwork. However, Sarang decided to go for some colors as well. At the end of the workshop, every attendee displayed their work and creativity. The highlight of the session was Sarang’s conclusion of the workshop with his different Zen artwork made with very detailed techniques. It was a moment of awe for everyone.
The attendees were from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rooftop as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.Ā
