Flowers have always been the first choice of painters and illustrators because of their vivid and colourful nature. In the watercolour ink floral illustrations, paintbrushes and watercolours are used with utmost dedication to drawing the flowers.
Devanagari Script is used for many languages, such as Hindi, Marathi, Bhojpuri, and a lot more. The structure of the letters is a unique combination of straight lines, as well as curves.
To educate our Members about easy techniques to master Devanagari lettering and Watercolor Ink Florals, Rooftop curated a fusion series workshop. The star artist for this workshop was Amritanshu Das. He is a proficient calligraphy and lettering artist who also likes to play with watercolours and different art forms.
Watercolor Ink Florals and Devanagari Lettering Workshop Began
Amritanshu is an explorative artist who likes to combine different art forms and bring out the best of outcomes. On his first day of the workshop, he began with a little introduction to the two art forms he was joining for this session. He will comb watercolour ink florals with the lettering art form and choose Devanagari this time. On the first day, he focused on watercolour ink florals which are more imaginative paintings rather than realistic paintings thereby giving more creative space to the attendees.
Towards the end of the Workshop
On the second day of the workshop, Amritanshu worked with Devanagari Lettering. He gave an embellished introduction to this form of writing and an insight into its beautiful history.
He concluded the session with the question and answer session, interacting with his attendees, and seeing their work as well. It was an informative session, whether theoretically or as an artistic skill.
The attendees were from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rooftop as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
