Vastu Wind Chime Workshop: Vastu shastra is a traditional Indian system of architecture originating in India. Each direction of the Vastu Wind Chimes has different connotations of prosperity. Rooftop curated a Vastu Wind Chime Workshop and invited Bhawna Dawra and & Samridhi Garg. Bhawna is an architecture student from Chandigarh and an environmental designer. She is also the co-founder of one of the most prominent ventures in Rajasthan for Landscape Design and Indoor Plants. Samridhi is a lifestyle accessory designer and illustrator.
The Vastu Wind Chime Workshop Began
Bhawna started the workshop by sharing her insights about Vastu and its importance. Next, she proceeded to make a Vastu wind chime out of newspaper. She first folded the newspaper and made small and big coils out of it in the shape of bells. Applying a mixture of fevicol and water, she then painted those coils. Decorating it with mirrors and beads, Bhawna and Samridhi explained the process of hanging beads and small bells to the bell-shaped coils. She explained the technique of using a thread and needle to do the same. In the end, she attached all the strings together and created a beautiful wind chime.
The enthusiastic 26 participants attentively observed Bhawna and took notes. A few participants also worked along with them. They asked several questions related to Vastu as well as wind chimes and Bhawna responded immediately.
Towards The End Of The Workshop
The attendees were loaded with a lot of information related to Vastu. They also learnt the easy way of making wind chimes from scratch in the convenience of their homes. Rooftop as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a colourful and positive vibe together.
Here’s us signing off, until next time.
