Folk art in India has a long history and it is said to be 3000 years old. These forms of art are seen on the walls of houses, floors and also in their attire. Each Traditional Peacock Painting design style ranges from one folk art style to the other. Peacock designs such as Alpona, Madhubani, Sohrai, Kalamkari, Kasuti, Bheenth Chitra and Kashidakari are widely popular in the country.

About The Artist

Shine is an artist by profession and found her calling in art when she was 11 years old. She has 25 years of experience in the field of fine arts.

The Workshop Traditional Peacock Painting Began

The guest artist greeted the attendants and introduced the art form to them. She said it is a traditional as well as a contemporary art form and showed one of her artwork. She started sketching the peacock and after creating the impression of the peacock using dark and light blue colours with a shade of white colour. She coloured the feather of the peacock light blue, dark blue, green and dark green.

All the attendees showed their Traditional Peacock Painting to Shine. She appreciated all of them for their colourful and beautiful peacock paintings. The host thanked all the participants and the guest artist for sharing their valuable knowledge on this beautiful art form.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Circle Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
