Art gives us the freedom to express ourselves, our ideas, emotions, and imaginations. It gives voice to the thoughts and engages the viewer into the story conceptualised by the artist. Watercolours paintings are the best medium to bring those thoughts to life. To give our Circle Members the experience to learn and enlighten themselves about this beautiful art form, Rooftop curated a Watercolour Workshop and invited Kulwinder Singh.
Kulwinder Singh is a pharmacist but he has been working as an artist for over two years. He works as a freelance artist and also conducts multiple online art workshops. Besides that, he is a self-taught artist and also works in different mediums like watercolour, oil and acrylic.
Watercolour Workshop Began
Kulwinder Singh began the workshop with a short introduction of himself. He showcased the beautiful artwork which the attendees would be creating. Later he started with the artwork and explained every step in a detailed manner. Besides he also shared a lot of insights on the variety of materials used for different styles of artwork.
Kulwinder showcased different techniques of watercolour painting. He closely explained the blending, layering and lifting process. Alongside, he also shared many tips on how to avoid making any mistakes while watercolor painting.
Towards The End Of The Workshop
Kulwinder’s main focus was on covering and explaining the different techniques of watercolour painting. He truly believes that learning the techniques and practicing them consistently would result in something amazing. The attendees showcased their beautiful watercolour artworks and Kulwinder shared his feedback. The workshop ended on a happy note with Kulwinder displaying his art gallery and some of his mesmerising artworks.
The attendees were from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rooftop as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
