Watercolour or aquarelle is a painting method in which the paints are made of pigments suspended in a water-based solution. Watercolour beginners can start with a colour mixing with warm & cool primary paints and learn them real quick. We are sure water colouring is everyone’s favourite. To give our Circle Members the experience to learn and enlighten themselves about this art form, Rajasthan Studio curated a special Watercolour Landscape Art Workshop and invited Dr. Samprity Ozah.

Samprity Ozah is a physician from Guwahati, Assam who also paints and art has been her hobby since childhood. She loved watercolours the most and for the last couple of years. She believes that art helps us keep calm amidst the chaos of the modern lifestyle. Thus, she also encourages people to paint or at least draw something regularly.

Watercolour Landscape Art Workshop Began

The workshop began with a short introduction of the artist. The artist Samprity Ozah gave a quick information on watercolour art. She started drawing a rough sketch of the temple and explained every step in detail.

Moving further, Samprity started with drawing borders and the horizon line. We did a fun poll during the session which was a fun activity for the artist and attendees. After the sketching the artist started with the painting and explaining everything in the process.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

Moving further she selected some colours and suggested about buying permanent colours rather than fugitive colours. Artist also gave some information about which type of paper to be used. The painting was ready and with the help of a dryer she got the final piece ready to showcase it to the attendees. It looked absolutely beautiful and the attendees quite mesmerised with the experience. The overall workshop was a delightful experience

The attendees were from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform.Rajasthan studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
