Rooftop – Where India Inspires Creativity

Watercolour Illustration Workshop By Sayli Pandit

Watercolour Illustration

Watercolour painting is the process of painting with pigments that are mixed with water. It is one of the most widely known and common forms of painting. This art form teaches us to slow down and help us discover our creativity. To give our Circle Members the experience to learn and enlighten themselves about this ancient art form, Rajasthan Studio curated a special Watercolour Illustration Workshop and invited Sayli Pandit.

Sayli Pandit is a 20-year-old product design student studying at Symbiosis University, Nagpur. Design and art have always been her passion and she has been doing this for a long time. She has always had a creative and an imaginative perspective towards everything. Lockdown has been a huge help to her where she went beyond something which she ever wanted to achieve including her art page.

Watercolour illustration Workshop Began

The Watercolour Illustration Workshop began with Sayli Pandit giving a short introduction of herself. Moving further, she shared her way of doing it and why she likes watercolour. Then she spoke about the colours and the brushes she will be using for the art work.

Then she started with the art and explaining about each step of the process. She also explained about the colour combinations she is using. Sayli kept an open discussion where she answered all the questions put up by the participants.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

Towards the end she had a look at everyone’s artwork and was happy to share some extra tips to all the attendees. She gave many different ideas to the attendees stating how they can add more details to their art work and make it more colourful with different combinations of colour. At the end all had beautiful watercolour paintings with them.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rajasthan studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
