Watercolor Painting Workshop: Watercolor is an ancient form of painting in which colors are mixed with water on the brush to communicate a message through the canvas. Rajasthan studio curated a Navratri Special Workshop on Watercolor Painting and invited Farida Patel to conduct a grey color theme workshop. Farida is a teacher by profession and also an artist by heart. She loves experimenting with different art forms and shares her knowledge with her students.
The Watercolour Painting Workshop Began
Farida began her workshop by drawing a mountain scenery on an A4 sheet. She suggested participants divide their canvas into three parts, sky, mountain and the sea. To paint the sky, Farida followed the wet on wet technique of watercolor. She advised all 32 participants to be quick on their reflexes and paint before the paper gets dry. For coloring the mountain, she used wet on dry technique and also gave it a darker shade of grey. For the creation of the sea and reflection on the sea, Farida used the same technique. Farida then made use of a hairdryer to dry her canvas and worked on the detailing of the mountain and trees.
Towards The End Of The Workshop
Most of the participants painted along with Farida and also asked her several questions. Farida kindly answered these questions promptly. By the end of the workshop, participants grasped the knowledge and were pleased with the workshop. They flashed their watercolor painting on their screens.
Rajasthan studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
