Seascape refers to the artwork that depicts the sea; these artworks can be paintings, etchings, engravings and even photographs. The term ‘seascape’ originated in the year 1790 and was named after the term landscape. Seascapes portray views of the sea from the shore, the ocean, beaches, coastlines, ships at the sea, and similar elements that make the seascape art.
Seascapes had been a popular genre of art from the 17th to 19th centuries.
To make the art form popular among the masses and inspire people to create it, the Circle Community brought together a Seascape Workshop with expert artist Aananya T.
About the Artist
Aananya T is a software developer by profession and an artist by passion. She is skilled in watercolour art, Gouache art and lettering. She makes handmade art and jewellery and has a business page on Instagram for accessories.
The Workshop began
The workshop began with a brief introduction of Aananya and her inspiring journey as an artist. Aananya welcomed all the participants of the workshop and gave them an insight into the history and background of the art form. She framed the seascape portrait and painted shades of light and dark blue. She created the rocks and the moon, and an evening scenery that was beautiful. She went on to paint the waves in shades of white and used dots for creating stars. She beautified the colouring by smudging it with her fingers.
Towards the end of the workshop
All the attendees shared their gorgeous seascape artworks, the colours of which were aesthetic and soothing to everyone‘s gaze. The participants thanked Aananya for teaching them a unique art form and for providing important tips and information.
The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Circle Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
