Quilled Paper Jewelry Workshop

Quilled Paper Jewelry Workshop: Quilling is a type of art form wherein strips of paper are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. Paper quilling projects can also be used to make pendants, earring and other different accessories. Rajasthan Studio curated a Quilled Paper Jewellery Workshop with Sanya Kukreja to teach this unique paper craft. She is a Fashion and Lifestyle Accessory Designer from NIFT. To Design and develop ethical conceptual accessories is what she looks up to, especially to promote the art of sustainability and uplift Indian crafts to the core.

The Quilled Paper Jewelry Workshop Began

Sanya introduced everyone to a new tool known as the ‘quilling needle’ and began making the motif of the day. Alternatively, she also showed everyone how to simply use toothpicks for quilling, in case they do not own a quilling needle. She then showed the technique of quilling by taking strips of paper, folding them and gluing them. Then, using the rose quill technique, Sanya created the final piece of the rose shaped pendant using strips of paper.

While creating jewellery, you can choose colors you like the most, that will always encourage you to create the best piece!

Over 80 enthusiastic participants joined to make quilled paper jewelry and worked along with Sanya. She also actively responded to all the queries of the participants and helped them learn the art of quilling. Additionally, she also shared several tips and tricks about this interesting art form.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

At the end of the workshop, all the attendees were successful in creating beautiful rose pendants. Some of the participants gave their own touch of creativity into the pendants by using different coloured paper strips. Sanya was spellbound on seeing such enthusiasm among all the attendees who were from different parts of the country.
