Pressed Flowers Resin Coasters Workshop with Khushi Taunk

Pressed Flower Resin Coaster

Epoxy resin is a multifaceted material that’s applied in a wide range of craft practices. Resin casting is a great way to articulate our furniture, create jewelry and ornaments, and much more. Initially, resin acts as a liquid that hardens with time, so adding some other components as dried flowers can lead to an amazing artwork. If pressed flowers are used in creating resin artwork, it can create wonderful art that can leave one awestruck with its beauty.

In order to make the Circle family aware about resin art and the fun of making it, TCC organized an amazing and fun-filled workshop with Khushi Taunk.

About The Artist

Khushi is a young and vibrant artist who loves to create and practise art more than anything. She has been involved in art for the past 6-7 years, but it was only recently that she understood that her love for art is not just a hobby but a passion that she wants to pursue wholeheartedly. Thus, she decided to pursue art professionally and started a venture of her own. Furthermore, she loves to teach people about art and enlighten them.

The Workshop Began

The workshop began with a brief introduction of Khushi and her journey as an artist, Khushi greeted and expressed her heartfelt gratitude towards the attendees and hosts of the session. She further gave an insight into the art form and its significance and started creating the artwork and demonstrating the process. She explained about the mixtures created from mixing resin and hardener which can be in 2:1 or 1:1 ratios and can be either mass-based or volume-based, wherein mass-based requires a weighing machine while a volume-based mixture is created by mixing both resin and hardener in equal amounts. Further, she began to stir the mixture and explained that it should be mixed continuously till it becomes transparent. The attendees were engrossed in the process and were co-creating with her.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

As the workshop progressed towards completion, the attendees were delighted as they created their own artworks and showcased them to Khushi for her feedback. She complimented each of them and found them very beautiful and full of effort. The workshop concluded on an appreciative note by the attendees for both Khushi and the hosts of the session.

The attendees were from different parts of the country and belonged to various age groups but their love and passion for art brought them together on one platform. TCC, as always, was able to curate an amazing experience and memories that can be cherished for a long time.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
