Plant Illustration Workshop With Ayushi Sengar

Plant Illustration Workshop

Plant Illustration Workshop: Plant Illustrations are like fashion sketches for plants. Rajasthan Studio curated a Plant Illustration Workshop and invited Ayushi Sengar to enlighten the circle members with the basics of plant illustration with watercolours. A self-taught artist, Ayushi loves exploring different art forms, watercolours being her forte.

The Plant Illustration Workshop Began

Ayushi began the workshop by creating a basic outline of the plants – mainly succulents and cactus. All 30 participants carefully listened to Ayushi and followed her steps. She asked all the participants to unleash their creativity and make the plants whichever way they wanted. She also added some leaves and decorated the blank spaces on the canvas. Eventually diving into the colouring part, she used green, blue, yellow, magenta and mustard colours to colour all the plants. Towards the end she also demonstrated how to create colour patches to decorate the background, thus making the artwork more colourful. Additionally, she also explained how to add more detail to the plants to make them look more lively.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

The attendees worked together along with Ayushi and created beautiful paintings. The nature-loving attendees painted succulent plants with several calming colours and left Ayushi mesmerised.

The attendees were from different parts of the country and belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on one platform. Rooftop as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
