Pablo Picasso founded the Cubism movement, a revolutionary style of modern art that he formed in response to the rapidly changing modern world. Cubism refers to the styles of both Braques and Picasso, although Braque’s cubism has a recognizable figurative objective while Picasso‘s Cubism Portrait is the link between Braque‘s style and the abstract art that followed from Cubism.

To make this art form widely popular among art enthusiasts, Rooftop conducted a workshop on Picasso’s Cubism Portrait with expert artist Soojata Arora.

About The Artist

Soojata Arora is an art and craft enthusiast. She conducts workshops, events, art activities and employment activities for working professionals.

The Workshop Began

The workshop began with an introduction of Soojata and her journey and experiences as an artist. She explained the history of the art form and started teaching the artwork. Soojata began by drawing a hexagon, a line that looked like a nose followed by a triangle and an eyeball. She drew an eye, a cloud figure on the left side and rainbow lines on the right. Arora continued drawing the ears which looked like the number three and the alphabet C, drawing three different circles, parallel and abstract lines, and continued colouring them in shades of yellow, orange, violet, green and blue.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

All the attendees had a lovely time as they all co-created their own Picasso Cubism art aesthetic. Soojata was delighted to see all the artworks and appreciated the attendees.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Circle Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
