Rooftop – Where India Inspires Creativity

Pencil Realism Workshop With Rajeev Verma

Pencil realism

Pencil drawing is monochromatic in nature. It has a single hue grey and the shades vary with different brightness values from light grey to dark grey. There are five key factors that are essential for pencil realism: precision drawing, brightness, values, edges, and transitions. Each object or figure has its own unique form and characteristics. To explore this unique art form in detail, Rooftop brought together a Pencil Realism Workshop with Rajeev Verma.

About the Artist

Rajeev is a fine artist who is passionate about art. He showcases his artworks on his Instagram handle @rajeev_art. He is a Content Creator who is also into photography and creating films for commercials.

The Workshop Began

Rajeev shared his experiences and journey as an artist as to how his works gained recognition. For his artwork, he decided to create a face sketch. He started by sketching the nose with lighter pencil shading and darkening the nose with a darker shade. He continued making dots and giving finishing touches and showed his artworks, giving advice on lighter and darker shading while sketching.

Towards the end of the Workshop

All the attendees showed their sketches happily and were proud of their work as their creative and artistic experiences could be seen in their artworks. Rajeev answered all their questions, praised their efforts and dedication and expressed his gratitude to one and all.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rooftop, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
