Painting Bookmarks with Watercolour Workshop with Anushka Thakur

rPainting Bookmarks With Watercoloue

Watercolour is a fun, low-cost option if you want to learn to paint! Watercolours offer a lot of possibilities for creative self-expression. They are great for doing quick sketches or studies and what’s the best way to use watercolor than to paint your bookmarks?

To give our Circle Members the experience to learn and enlighten themselves about painting bookmarks with watercolor, Rajasthan Studio curated a special workshop and invited Anushka Thakur.

Anushka Thakur is a fashion designer by profession and artist by heart. She has been painting and making sketches since she was in school, but in the lockdown, she started to show her art to the world and made an art account on Instagram, for her is an escape. She just loves to paint and inspire others to paint as well.

Painting Bookmarks with Watercolour Workshop Began

Anushka began the painting bookmarks with watercolor workshop by showing some of her artworks and she also showed the artwork they were going to make that day. She instructed the attendees to cut the sheet for the bookmark and to give the sheet a vintage look she first wet the sheet a little with the brush and then painted a thin layer of a mustard colour.

Anushka then sketched flowers with a light hand so that it doesn’t leave an imprint and began with painting the flowers and also help the attendees understand how to mix different colours in order to get the perfect shade.

Towards the end of the Workshop

She gave feedback to the attendees and explained how to add outlines to the painting. She also added text in the background for that added effect. The session was very smooth and interactive. The workshop ended with everyone showcasing their beautiful artworks.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rajasthan studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, we take your leave. See you next time!
