Paint Your Tee Workshop By Swati Singh

Tshirt painting is a  way to make plain, boring tshirts fun and quirky. A tshirt is your blank canvas and with some fabric paint, brushes and a plain tshirt you can go berserk and be the artist and then wear it yourself. To give our Circle Members the experience to learn and enlighten themselves about this art form, Rajasthan Studio curated a special workshop and invited Swati Singh.

Swati Singh is an educator by profession and an artist by nature. Due to her inclination towards nature and a sustainable lifestyle, she tends to work upon things around her to create something new and durable. Her art journey has been amazing and full of learning experiences. From a small girl who sketched out her grandparent’s house on a sheet of notebook to a grown-up lady, who presently is running her brand, by the name ‘On My Desk’. It’s been a while since she started creating hand-painted clothing, canvas paintings, wall murals, DIY projects, and teaching aids for children and teachers.

Paint Your Tee Workshop Began

Swati started the workshop by giving the students two options to choose their task of the day from. Then she started  explaining about the different types of brushes and paints involved. All the  attendees paid attention and noted all the key points.

The students decided to make a dinosaur for the workshop. She also spoke about her personal background and achievements which motivated the attendees. She made sure that she was responding to all queries and questions.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

Swati told the attendees different methods that they should practice to preserve the tshirt for a longer period of time. She showed the attendees how to fill multiple layers of colours. She even displayed an artwork that she had created before. The attendees were very excited to showcase their work. The overall experience was very delightful and everyone was elated by the experience.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rajasthan Studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
