One Stroke Painting Workshop: A popular and interesting painting technique, one stroke painting uses double and multi-loading technique to make highlights, shadows and colour changes in one stroke. Rajasthan Studio curated a One Stroke Painting Workshop and had invited Priya Satish. She is an internationally certified One Stroke Painting instructor. A passionate Bharatanatyam dancer, she also has an inclination towards vintage, rustic, wooden, ethnic and traditional art forms.

The One Stroke Painting Workshop Began

Priya began the session by briefing a little about one stroke painting and then shared some of her beautiful work with our attendees. “One brush stroke should bring out all the light, medium and dark shades’’ informed Priya. She demonstrated the Teardrop stroke and Wiggling stroke on a sheet and patiently explained the most important brush technique of one stroke painting. Showing the process of loading the colour on two sides of the flat brush, Priya made beautiful orange flowers with a slight yellow gradient. The curious attendees asked several questions regarding the colours best suitable and also took suggestions regarding the brushes which are ideal for one stroke painting. All the 35 attendees admired the beautiful gradient strokes Priya painted.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

Towards the end of the experience, she also advised other motifs like animals, fishes etc that can be painted. The participants took notes as well as worked alongside Priya. The happy participants completed their one stroke paintings within the time frame and displayed on their screen. The way they had picked up the brush stroke technique so easily was commendable! The satisfied attendees looked forward to learning more about it in the future.

The attendees were from different parts of the country and belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform.

Rajasthan studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off untill next time!
