Natural Soap Making Workshop with Vinitha Nanda Kumar

Natural Soap Making Workshop with Vinitha Nanda Kumar

Soap is useful for helping remove sweat and dirt from your skin and is a part of our personal hygiene routine. Making natural soap is all about avoiding the use of any ingredients that could be toxic and are manufactured in ways that use substances which is harsh for our skin. Soap is fat or oil mixed with an alkali. The oil comes from an animal or plant, while the alkali is a chemical called lye. In bar soap-making, the lye is sodium hydroxide. Liquid soap requires potassium hydroxide it is then combined and heated with oil and lye resulting in soap
