Modern Abstract Art Workshop With Khushi Dugar

Modern Abstract Art

Abstract art that does not attempt to represent an accurate depiction of a visual reality but instead use shapes, colours, forms and gestural marks to achieve its effect. Some artists of this ‘pure’ abstraction have preferred terms such as concrete art or non-objective art, but in practice the word abstract is used across the board and the distinction between the two is not always obvious. Abstract art is often seen as carrying a moral dimension, in that it can be seen to stand for virtues such as order, purity, simplicity and spirituality. To give our Circle Members the experience to learn and enlighten themselves about this traditional art form, Rajasthan Studio curated a special workshop and invited Khushi Dugar.

Khushi is a student who is passionate about art. She was always into drawing and painting but she never took any classes for it. She is a self taught artist who started an art account out of boredom in lockdown. Gradually she got even better and has been doing this for 8 months now!

According to her,the best part about this journey is her improvement over the last few months and meeting new people with like mindsets.

 Modern Abstract Workshop Began

Khushi began the session by explaining her interest and growth in the field of abstract painting. She explained the tools to be used and made sure everyone understood. All the  attendees paid attention and noted all the key points.

She walked through the creation of the sketch first. Then she went on to explain the different colours involved and how to achieve certain shades by mixing various colours. She made sure to answer all questions and cleared all doubts.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

Khushi made sure she explained all the steps in great detail so that it would be easier for the attendees to understand. The attendees were very excited to showcase their work. The overall experience was very delightful and everyone was elated by the experience.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rajasthan Studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
