Mix Media Art Journaling Workshop By Hemalatha Mopati

Mix Media Art Journaling is an artistic record of one’s thoughts and ideas. It is also a great way of keeping alive a memory or an idea in an artistic way. This art form then allows artists to break the boundaries between different art forms and give a whole new dimension to their creativity.

To give our Circle Members the experience to learn and enlighten themselves about this modern art form, Rajasthan Studio curated a special workshop and invited Hemalatha Mopati.

Hemalatha Mopati is a mixed media artist from Chennai who works as a therapist. She finds art to be free-flowing and liberating. She creates intuitive art that helps destress and attain clarity. Her art journaling sessions are rooted in playfulness, spontaneity and exploration of colour.

Mix Media Art Journaling Workshop Began

Hemalatha began the workshop with a brief introduction of herself and from where she gets the inspiration for her art. She explained about Mix Media Art Journaling and its essence. She showcased some of her art journals to the attendees so that they get a gist of what the art form is all about.

Hemalatha started journaling along with explaining the step-by-step procedure of ideating and starting with the artwork. She demonstrated the importance of colour schemes and colour combinations. She gave a thorough explanation of her colour preferences for different artworks.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

Hemalatha showed the attendees what kind of material to invest in for this art form. She concluded her journaling by showcasing how to add some extra elements and layers to make the art look more aesthetically pleasing. The workshop ended with everyone showcasing their work.

The attendees were also from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rajasthan studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
