Rooftop – Where India Inspires Creativity

Mandalas By The Curious Minds Workshop with Kritika Goel

Mandala workshop

Mandala, as an art form, is ancient and ritualistic and has been followed in several religions of the Indian subcontinent like Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. This art form is very therapeutic and relaxing when practised. It represents the interconnectivity of everything in the universe. Though a relaxing art form, precision is one of the most important aspects of this art. Overall, the mystical vibes that it holds draw the attention of the viewers and leave them awestruck. To bring the magical experience of this magnificent art form to the Circle family, Rooftop organized Mandalas by the Curious Minds workshop with Kritika Goel.

About The Artist

Kritika Goel is an alumnus of a prestigious institution called St Paul’s Academy as well as Hansraj College, Delhi University. She’s a Graphic Designer by profession and a self-taught mandala artist by passion. The features of the art form like intricacy and detailing drew her attention towards it. She feels very relaxed and happy when creating the artwork. This led her to create an Instagram page named ‘The Curious Minds’ where she’s been posting her artworks during the Covid-19 lockdown.

And The Workshop Began

The workshop began with a brief introduction of Kritika and her journey as an artist. She then expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the attendees and elaborated on the basics of the mandala art form. She explained every step in a very detailed manner and actively cleared the participants’ doubts even as she was creating the art. The participants were very engrossed in the workshop and were co-creating with Kritika.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

As the workshop progressed towards completion, the participants were able to create their artworks, which Kritika appreciated dearly. The session was very useful for the participants as they were able to grasp a lot of knowledge about the art form.

The participants were from different parts of the country and belonged to various age groups, but were united by their passion for art which eventually brought them together on a single platform. Rooftop, as always, was successful in curating an amazing workshop and creating memories that can be cherished for a long time.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
