Madhubani painting popularly also known as Mithila painting is a Bihar state originated art form that holds notable importance in Indian folk art. The art form is an accumulation of vivid geometric shapes, sizes and patterns that when put together formulates into an appealing art piece. It is popularly incarnated during festive seasons by the locals of the Mithila region in Bihar.
To give you a detailed glimpse of the same, The Circle Community is all set to guide you with the basics of the art form through the Madhubani workshop with Debalina Das. She holds years of experience and thus, can prove to be great guidance.
About the Artist:-
Debalina Das is a creative mind who has been a keen enthusiast of various art and art forms. She realised her passion for the art form very recently and since then is leaving no stone unturned.
The workshop began:-
The Madhubani painting workshop began with the host sharing a warm introduction about the mentor and her years of experience with the art form. She then took over the session and began with briefing the art piece that was to be created.
Ravana was drawn with a touch of Madhubani spread and then the mentor began to paint it using live & vibrant colours. She made sure to remain sound and productive throughout the session. She was also open to new questions and queries that made the session even more interactive and fun.
Towards the end of the workshop:-
Towards the end of the workshop, a beautiful coloured Madhubani piece was created by the mentor as well as her attendees of different age groups. Their pieces in the end were highlighted and tailored with effective comments that helped them enhance their overall art piece.
Thus, learners of the program had a great time learning and exploring the vividity of the art form. The Circle Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
