Madhubani Painting Workshop with Sneha Sarkar

Madhubani Painting

Madhubani painting, one of the most famous traditional Indian art practiced mainly in the state of Bihar. The art form originated in the Mithila region. The main themes and motifs are influenced by Hindu mythology, nature and depiction of love. Madhubani painting is related to maths as due to the inclusion of complex geometrical shapes and patterns.

About The Artist

Sneha is medico by profession but art has been her passion. She is a self-taught Madhubani and Mandala artist. Art has been her passion since childhood.

The Workshop Began

Sneha first of all drew a border on an A-5 sheet of paper with a ruler. She sketched 4 symmetrical fishes with their faces meeting at the center. She outlined and added details to her sketch with black marker. She started colouring the sketch work with hues of blue, yellow and red.  The artwork looked vibrantly colored with details.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

All the attendees showed their co-created Madhubani Painting and had smiles on their faces. Sneha also provided extra tips to make the process of making Madhubani art easy.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Circle Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
