Characterised by its eye-catching geometrical patterns, Madhubani painting is one of the many famous Indian art forms. As the name suggests Madhubani painting originated from Madhubani district of the Mithila region of Bihar. Madhubani painting mostly depicts people and their association with nature and deities of Hindu mythology. To give our Circle Members the experience to learn and enlighten themselves about this traditional art form, Rajasthan Studio curated a Madhubani Painting Workshop and invited Tashveen Kaur.
Tashveen Kaur is a BA student, holding an experience of 10 years in drawing and painting. She has been learning this art since childhood by a reputed artist. Besides this, she also practices different art forms and is also good at them, but she excels in Madhubani painting.
Madhubani Painting Workshop Began
The workshop started with Tashveen Kaur sketching and giving detailed step by step instructions. She was very elaborate about the measurements and dimensions to sketch the Madhubani girl.
There are different techniques involved in Madhubani painting, which Tashveen explained clearly and precisely. She sketched each element at a time so that the attendees could follow. Furthermore, she shared a lot of tips and hacks of this art form.
Towards The End Of The Workshop
Towards the end of the workshop, Tashveen starts with the painting and describing about different colour combinations. In addition, she kept an eye on the progress of the attendees from time to time. All the attendees were engrossed in the workshop and in creating beautiful Madhubani girl. The artworks done by the attendees were quite impressive and Tashveen was happy to see the end results.
The attendees were from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rajasthan studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
