Knife and Acrylic Workshop With Dimpy Tekwani

Knife and Acrylic workshop

Painting and palette knives can have more applications than oil paintings as they can be used for acrylic painting since they do not require a muddy mixing of colours that we sometimes encounter in oil paintings. The main reason behind this is that acrylics dry at a fast rate.

To provide the Circle family with the idea and applications of different uses of palette knives, TCC organized a workshop and invited expert artist Dimpy Tekwani to conduct it.

About The Artist

Dimpy Tekwani is an ardent follower and admirer of art, who finds art as an escape from the hassle of the real world, a way of relaxing herself, and not to mention a therapeutic experience.

And The Workshop Began

The workshop began with Dimpy greeting the attendees and talking about her experiences with art. Further, she listed out all the materials required for the workshop and started the demonstration. Dimpy explained each step involved in the process in a very detailed manner. She then described the artwork that she was going to complete in the session named ‘Tree of life’, which depicts the four seasons of a year. She pointed out all the important points that need to be taken care of when making the art. The attendees were very engrossed in the workshop and were co-creating with Dimpy, while she cleared their doubts from time to time.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

As the workshop progressed towards completion, attendees were able to create their own art pieces that they presented to Dimpy for feedback, who found all of them very beautiful and full of effort. The workshop ended on an appreciative note by the attendees for both Dimpy and TCC.

The attendees were from different parts of the country and belonged to various age groups, but were united by their passion for art that eventually led them to a single platform. TCC, as always, was successful in bringing artists together and celebrating the beauty of art as well as creating memories that can be cherished for a long time.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
