Infused Light Effect – Basic Painting with Shruti Solanki

Infused Light Effect - Basic Painting with Shruti Solanki

Michelangelo blended his drawings with light by using an actual handheld lamp to change the appearance of the light surrounding his famous picture, Mona Lisa. His drawings with light are seen more significantly in “The Crucifixion of St. Peter” and the Sistine Chapel. During the Renaissance, artists developed “Chiaroscuro,” a technique that uses strong contrasts in tone between light and dark as models for three-dimensional forms for a dramatic effect. These are found in the artwork of Caravaggio, da Vinci, and Rembrandt. Famous artist Picasso also recognized the importance of drawing with light.

The Rooftop Community brings together Infused Light effect- Basic Painting Workshop with Shruti Solanki

About The Artist

Shruti is passionate about art and likes to paint making infused light effects.

The Workshop Began

Shruti greeted all the attendees and thanked the host for the introduction. She drew the bridge on the canvas and started painting a shade of purple and blue in the lower half of the canvas. She then continued to paint the trees with dark green shade and black colour, light white colour and brown around the bridge, green colour vegetation on the blue river and light green for the leaves of the trees, light pink for the lotus and concluded the painting for the light effect by applying strokes of white colour for the light.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

Shruti painted a beautiful and colourful painting of a bridge with a blue sky that is surrounded by a river, trees and lotus in the river with a beam of light falling on the bridge. All the participants appreciated her Infused Light Painting and showed her co-created paintings to Shruti The host thanked Shruti for teaching this colourful art.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Rooftop Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
