Impressionist landscape with Poonam Wankhede

Impressionist Landscape Workshop

Before impressionism, landscapes in art were often imaginary, perfect landscapes painted in the studio. The impressionists changed all that. They painted outdoors. As they were outside, they looked at how light and colour changed the scenes. it was often painted thickly and used quick (and quite messy) brush strokes. In most of the paintings before impressionism, one could not really see the brushstrokes at all. Some of the main impressionist artists are Claude Monet, Berthe Morisot, Camille Pissarro, Alfred Sisley, Auguste Renoir, Mary Cassatt and Edgar Degas.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

Poonam made a beautiful landscape of a windmill, house and some trees. All the participants appreciated her art form and showed their co-created Impressionist Landscape. The host thanked Poonam for teaching this landscape painting.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Circle Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
