Gouache Painting Workshop with Mansi Khangarot

Gouache Art

Gouache paint is an opaque watercolour that gives a matt and rusty look to your paintings and adds that extra level to your watercolour skills. To give our Circle Members the experience to learn and enlighten themselves about this art form, Rajasthan Studio curated a special workshop and invited Mansi Khangarot.

Mansi khangarot is pursuing bachelors of fine arts. She started painting when she was in school and got her hands on Gouache in this lockdown period. She works with watercolour, gouache, oil and acrylic.

Gouache Painting Workshop Began

Mansi started the Gouache painting workshop with a description and also mentioned the speciality of Gouache colours. Moving on, she guided the attendees on how to do the stroke and while demonstrating it for the participants.

Mansi painted the upper half of the sheet with blue while reducing the density of the color and did the same on the lower half with red and hot pink colour and merged all the colour in the middle. Furthermore, she used another brush to create a bush silhouette.

Towards the end of the Workshop

The workshop was interesting and gripping, even the non-artist attendees were able to follow Mansi’s instructions. Furthermore, to create a night effect everyone sprayed some white colour in the end. The workshop ended with everyone showcasing their beautiful artworks.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rajasthan studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, we take your leave. See you next time!
