Geometrical Mandala Workshop with Shweta Jain

Geometrical Mandala Workshop

Mandala means a sacred circle. The circle depicts the womb of creation. Mandals are simple geometric shapes that are made from uniform divisions of circles. The geometric designs in mandalas have deep layers of meanings that are usually hidden. A mandala represents the cosmos.

To spread positivity and energy through mandala art, The Circle Community conducted a workshop on Geometrical Mandala with expert artist Shweta Jain.

About The Artist

Shweta has been practicing geometrical art forms for two years. Though she loves doing various art forms, the mandala has been the closest to her heart.

The Workshop Began

The workshop began with an introduction of Shweta and her journey as an artist. Shweta greeted all the participants and mentioned this is her fourth workshop and how she tries to do something new every time. She explained about geometric mandalas which can be made with just a compass, pencil, and a scale. Shweta first made four parallel lines, followed by circles, and outer and inner arcs using a compass. She continued teaching how to make petals and the artwork looked quite aesthetic. She used a black outliner for the border and created beautiful designs in order to highlight the mandala portion, which looked artistically attractive.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

Shweta beautifully completed the geometric mandala design with various kinds of designs and styles, which looked really attractive. She first filled the border with light green color and later proceeded with dark green. She was delighted with all the artwork of the attendees. The host thanked Shweta for teaching everyone geometric mandala.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Circle Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
