Folk Mandala Workshop with Mamta Mittal

Folk Mandala

The word literally translates to circle in the Sanskrit language. The roots of the Mandala art lie in the Buddhist culture. The symmetric shapes of the mandala design signify an aligned universe. Mandala art became even more popular after the trending reels and videos on the social media platforms  were uploaded in abundance. Mandala art therapy improves patience, focus and aids in concentrating.

The Circle Community brings a curated Folk Mandala workshop with Mamta Mittal.

About the Artist:-

Mamta Mittal is a post graduate in accounting. In the pandemic she reconnected with art. She also likes doing water color painting. She is obsessed with dot mandalas and ornate mandalas.

The workshop began:-

The workshop began with the artist sharing her journey as an artist. She gave the gist of the workshop and showed her ready artwork which acted as reference work. She  first  made the required measurements and drew a circle which was symmetrical 4 parts. She made an inner circle and grid lines with a protractor. Using 0.2 and 0.5 fine liners she created Mandala motifs. She illustrated watercolour roses.

She completed the artwork with various coloured flowers and added details to Mandala motifs.

Towards the end of the workshop:-

Towards the end of the workshop Mamta thanked everyone. The attendees were able to exactly replicate the work as Mamta simplified the process of making floral Mandala.

The Circle Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
