Rooftop – Where India Inspires Creativity

Fluid Art Workshop With Yukta Pande

Fluid Art Workshop

Fluid Art Workshop: Fluid art is the process of pouring paints onto a canvas to create unique pieces of abstract artwork. It involves different techniques such as pouring, dripping, swirling, glazing, dipping and many other effects. To experience this abstract form of art, Rooftop curated a Fluid Art Workshop and invited Yukta Pande. She is an interior design student at UID. She loves exploring and learning different art forms. Yukta is an enthusiastic artist ever ready to learn and improve her skills.

The Fluid Art Workshop Began

Yukta began the experience by explaining the style of the artwork. She also shared some alternative art materials required for fluid art. Yukta started by preparing the paint by adding the pouring medium. All the 20 attendees carefully observed and tried to make their paint solutions. Moving forward, she explained and demonstrated the two types of fluid art techniques – flip the cup technique and the ring pour or swirling technique.

The curious attendees had several queries regarding the type of acrylics, the pouring medium as well as the mixture of paints, which Yukta answered quite promptly. She also shared some very useful kitchen hacks as alternatives for the materials. “The most important aspect of fluid art is to have the paint in a honey-like consistency”, mentioned Yukta.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

At the end of the workshop, Anjali who was one of the attendee had managed to create a beautiful flowy fluid art painting. Yukta loved to see her work. While she also encouraged all the attendees to create their own unique fluid art pieces. The experience was interesting and fun for all.

The attendees were from different parts of the country and belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rooftop as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
