Faux Blue Pottery Workshop: Faux Blue pottery is an experimental art. Some peculiar shades of acrylic colors are used on surfaces like wood, glass, ceremic etc to give it an original Blue pottery look. Rajasthan Studio curated a Faux Blue Pottery Workshop with Ankita Rastogi. She is a passionate artist who loves to experiment with different art forms including decoupage, Mixed media, Clay art, Distress cards, Blue Lottery, Alcohol inks and many more.

The Faux Blue Pottery Workshop Began

Ankita started the experience by talking about Blue Pottery which is one of the most famous artworks of Jodhpur. Replicating the original blue pottery artwork, Ankita started by applying gesso on the ceramic plate. After drying, she then drew the outline with flowers and leaves. At the end she used dark blue glass colours to outline and eventually sky blue, persian blue and white acrylic colours to fill the artwork. 

Towards The End Of The Workshop

All the 40 attendees attentively listened to Ankita and watched her work. Some of the attendees took notes whereas some made the artwork along with Ankita. The enthusiastic participants bombarded Ankita with several queries about this artwork. Ankita patiently responded to all their queries while adding details into the artwork.

Rooftop as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
