Dot Mandala Workshop By Jahnavi Katwe

Dot Mandala Workshop

Mandala in Sanskrit means a circle representing the universe. Dot Mandala is done by painting dots of different sizes to create different patterns. Mandala art helps in reducing stress and boosting the immune system. Dot Mandala assists us in maintaining focus and increasing our concentration ability. To give our Circle Members the experience to learn and enlighten themselves about this traditional art form, Rajasthan Studio curated a Dot Mandala Workshop and invited Jahnavi Katwe.

Jahnavi Katwe is a student and self taught artist. Art is her passion and her inspiration. She practices all forms of art like mandala, portrait, Tanjore art, wall paintings, calligraphy, Zentangle, and many more. Exploring new art forms and trying her hands on them is something that she really enjoys.

Dot Mandala Workshop Began

The workshop began with a brief introduction of Jahnavi Katwe. Later she started with the Dot Mandala artwork and explained every step of the process. Along with that, she also shared the essence and the therapeutic benefits of Dot Mandala art.

Furthermore, Jahnavi shared details about the different tools used and where the attendees can purchase them. The contrasting and vibrant colours in the Dot Mandala were astounding. Through this peculiar art form we can realise how dots can be designed in a way that’s awe-inspiring.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

The workshop was quite interactive and the attendees were enjoying the session. It was impressive to see the attendees follow the process rigorously along with working on their Dot Mandalas. The workshop ended with everyone showcasing their colourful and vibrant artworks.

The attendees were from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rooftop as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
