Decoupage is the art of decorating an object by gluing colored paper cutouts into it in combination along with special paint effects like gold leaf and other decorative elements. Generally, an object like a small box or an item of furniture is covered by cutouts from magazines or from purpose-manufactured papers.
To make this art form popular among art lovers and enthusiasts, The Circle Community conducted a workshop on Decoupage art with expert artist Nikita Shah.
About The Artist
Nikita is a passionate artist who makes customized jewelry and takes orders on Instagram. For her, art is a medium to release stress and it makes her feel happy and satisfied.
The Workshop Began
The workshop started off with the hosts introducing Nikita and her journey as an artist. Nikita welcomed all the participants of the workshop and explained the art form of Decoupage. To create the artwork, she took a sheet of tissue paper and placed it on a tray, painting the sides of the tray with red color. She then continued designing the coasters which looked beautiful. She also advised on the types of colors one could use for the coloring.
Towards The End Of The Workshop
Towards the end of the workshop, all the attendees showcased their Decoupage art to Nikita. She was delighted to see all the artworks and appreciated them. The host thanked Nikita for sharing her knowledge on Decoupage art.
The attendees were from different parts of the country. They also belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. The Circle Community, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
