Clay Art Workshop with Raneem Ali

Clay Accessories by Raneem ali

Clay art has always been popular since the start of human civilization. Various human settlements all around the world considered clay as one of the most important mediums to create pots and vessels, which is evident through the discoveries of clay pots from different archaeological sites throughout the globe. Clay can be associated with different forms of craft which are equally fascinating and amazing. Clay is a very versatile medium and is used in various types of art forms, the prominent one being clay accessories. This kind of art is very relaxing and an elegant way of presentation. It thus allows the artist to express their aesthetic in a fresh medium. Working with clay is a relaxing and fun experience, therefore TCC curated an amazing workshop and invited expert artist Raneem Ali to facilitate the session.

About The Artist

Raneem Ali is a young and vibrant artist, who alongside her academic journey, thrived to enhance her artistic skills and loves to experiment with new and variant art forms. She earned her bachelors degree in political science and masters degree in Human Rights. As the owner of the venture Quirky Clocks, she always loves to create amazing and beautiful art pieces which are simple and at the same time very impactful. In the coming times, she wants to give her entrepreneurial venture social wings by employing socially deprived women and empowering them. In her free time, she loves to take part in college fests, exhibiting her artworks with young and aspiring artists.

The Clay Art Workshop Began

The workshop began with a brief introduction of Raneem and her experiences as an artist. Raneem greeted and expressed her heartfelt gratitude towards the attendees. She started the workshop by giving an insight into the tools that are important while creating a clay art piece. Later she proposed an engaging and fun game to interact with the attendees in a better way. The attendees were very delighted and took part with full enthusiasm. Moving further, Raneem started demonstrating and creating the artwork while explaining each step in a very detailed manner. She laid more emphasis on the creation of beads as they hold the most important part of the clay art piece. The clay that Raneem brought into use was polymerized clay and not an organic one. As the workshop went ahead, Raneem’s artwork slowly started to develop into a beautiful art piece. She also encouraged the attendees to raise their queries whenever encountered as few of the participants were co-creating with her.

Towards The End Of The Clay ArtWorkshop

As the workshop progressed towards completion, the attendees were able to create the artwork. Later they showed to Raneem for her feedback, who found each of them very beautiful and full of effort. The session concluded with Raneem answering some of the interesting questions from the attendees. Further, also appreciate their dedication and passion for art.

The attendees were from different parts of the country and belonged to various age groups. Though their love and passion for art brought them together on a single platform. TCC, as always, was successful in connecting artists and curating magical and positive vibes altogether.

On this note, here’s us signing off until next time!
